Research Project
This project has as a primary purpose the investigation of how people learn. The guiding research questions for Pleasure to Meet Me are:
- How do Latin@ youth learn about sexuality and gender identity through peer-to-peer social interactions?
- How does technology and new media serve to facilitate this meaning-making?
Methodology
The research aspect of this project consists of observations and interviews of the youth in Latinos En Estasis. Furthermore, they will be active participants in the final design of a technology tool or platform.
Next Steps
Further interviews and observations are scheduled for summer 2012. Part of the research for this project will involve observations and interviews relating to the youth's interaction with the Pleasure to Meet Me tangible interface (see Solutions page). From this data, one hopes to gain insight on how the final iteration of this project may be best designed to serve this population.
