Pleasure To Meet Me (User Interface)
This programmed tangible interface leverages the power of personal narratives in order for individuals to share experiences relating to gender and sexuality. Through the use of stamps representing a variety of sexual and gender markers, this tangible interface allows for the exploration of complexities inherent in identity formation as sexual beings.
Users of the interface place any combination of gender and sexual markers on the surface of the interactive table. They then have an opportunity to listen to narratives related to that combination of identity markers that are recorded by previous users. They also have an opportunity to record their own audio narrative to add to the list. Separate libraries for each combination also exist for Spanish, English, and Spanglish audio narratives.
While this may not be the final iteration of the Pleasure to Meet me Project, it does provide a springboard for how sexuality and gender identity can be explored in non-binary ways. In keeping with a comprehensive approach for discussing sex and gender, this interface allows for exploring the complex ways in which sexuality and gender identity can manifest.

MiStoria (SMS and Web-based)
MiStoria is an earlier proposal that has some elements that may be used in later iterations of the project. MiStoria leverages adolescents' ubiquitous use of text-messaging to keep them informed about important reproductive and sexual health facts. A web-based component allows for the creation and sharing of personal narratives relating to certain sexual and reproductive health topics.
The user sends a text message to the MiStoria SMS number with a pressing question relating to sex or reproduction. A reply is then sent to the user by MiStoria with link to videos relating to the question posed. Once at the website, they can explore a library of videos, or create their own video to share.
